Types of Support
The Trust’s main focus is on making unrestricted grants, allowing the receiving organizations to use the funds in ways that best suit their needs.
Grants that serve organizations based in the US receive priority but gifts to agencies that are based outside the US or whose primary service area is outside the US are also made.
The Trust also makes gifts to capital campaigns and endowments, as well as multiyear grants.
Individual Trustees may make discretionary grants.
Grantmaking Cycle
Trustees meet quarterly to determine which organizations will receive funding. In special circumstances (e.g., natural disaster) Trustees might make exceptional grants that fall outside of the grantmaking cycle.
